Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 8, 2026

This policy is required by Washington's My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and covers only consumer health data as that law defines it. For a complete picture of everything Same Team collects and how we handle it, see our full Privacy Policy.

Categories of consumer health data we collect

  • Your recent period start dates
  • How many days your period typically lasts, if you choose to share it
  • A general sense of how regular or irregular your cycle tends to be
  • Any dates you log later through your self-log link
  • The cycle phase we calculate from the information above
  • Replies you send us that reference symptoms, how you're feeling, or your cycle (for example, a response to a check-in text)

Purpose for collecting and using this data

We collect and use this data to:

  • Calculate your current cycle phase
  • Time and personalize the texts, check-in surveys, and (if applicable) emails we send you and your partner
  • Read and respond to messages you send us about your experience
  • Improve Same Team's content and timing based on real feedback, in aggregated form that isn't traced back to any one person

Categories of sources we collect this data from

We collect this data directly from you — at signup, through your self-log link, and through your replies to our texts. We do not purchase, license, or otherwise obtain consumer health data about you from any other source.

Categories of third parties and affiliates we share this data with

We do not sell consumer health data. We share it only with the service providers who make Same Team work, acting on our behalf and not for their own independent purposes:

  • Google Workspace — where your information is stored during the pilot
  • Twilio — which delivers our text messages
  • Make.com — which runs the automation connecting the two

We do not share consumer health data with any other third party, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

How to exercise your rights

You have the right to confirm whether we're processing your consumer health data, to access it, to withdraw your consent to its collection or sharing, and to have it deleted (including from our service providers, to the extent required by law).

To exercise any of these rights, reply to any text or email us at hello@wearesameteam.com. We'll respond directly — no account or login is required.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we'll let participants know directly before the change takes effect, in addition to updating the effective date above.
