What we collect
- Name, email address, and phone number
- Time zone
- Cycle information: your recent period start dates, and, if you choose to share it, how many days your period typically lasts (this second one is always optional)
- A general sense of how regular or irregular your cycle tends to be
- Any dates you log later through your standing self-log link
- Name and phone number
- Email address, only if he chooses to opt in to receiving emails from us
- Replies to our texts, including check-in survey responses and any other messages you send us
- Basic activity information, like when a text was delivered or when a link was clicked
We do not collect payment information during the pilot — it's free to participate.
How we use it
- To calculate and personalize the timing of your texts to your actual cycle
- To send the texts, check-in surveys, and (if he's opted in) emails themselves
- To read and respond to messages you send us, including questions or feedback
- To improve Same Team's content and timing based on real feedback (never used to identify or single out any one person in anything we'd publish or share externally)
Who we share it with
We never sell your information, to anyone, for any reason. That's a hard line, not a marketing line.
We do share information with the services that make Same Team work — the way almost any small company relies on outside tools rather than building everything itself:
- Google Workspace, where your information is stored
- Twilio, which delivers our text messages
- Make.com, which runs the automation connecting the two
These are service providers acting on our behalf, not partners we share your information with for their own purposes. If we ever add an email delivery service beyond what's listed here, we'll update this policy before we do.
If Same Team ever offers personalized content based on your preferences, that matching happens internally — we don't hand your personal preferences to advertisers or outside partners. At most, we might share aggregated, anonymized trends (like “X% of pilot participants found Y helpful”) that can't be traced back to you.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you're participating in Same Team, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you'd like to pick back up or have questions about your prior experience. If you'd like your information deleted sooner, just ask — reply to any text or email us, and we'll take care of it.
Your choices
- Opting out of texts: reply STOP at any time. You and your partner each get your own texts on your own phone, so opting out only stops your texts — it doesn't affect your partner's.
- His email opt-in: entirely optional, and he can opt out of emails at any time without affecting his texts.
- Access, correction, or deletion: ask us anytime, by replying to a text or reaching out directly, and we'll help.
A note on sensitive information
We know cycle and health-adjacent information is personal. We treat it with the same care we'd want for our own family's information — which is a real part of why this pilot exists in the first place. We don't ask for or want more detail than we actually need to make the product work well.
Not for children
Same Team is intended for adults. It's not directed at, and we don't knowingly collect information from, anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, we'll let pilot participants know directly (not just update the page silently) before the change takes effect.
